So we moved into a new home on the Web.
Like it? It's pretty and blue. A little more spacious to have our own place than as a roommate on Angie's blog. (Be sure to bookmark it!)
This is the place you'll get information about Jazzercise class at Lake Hart, health tips and opportunity to ask questions of each other and get encouragement.
To help in our endeavor of being healthy women, I'm throwing out the first question. Please click on "comment" below and type your name, e-mail (it won't be visible) and your answer. We'll encourage each other!
What's a barrier to you living a more healthy lifestyle? (Serious or lighter)
Free food at the office!
No “time” to exercise (probably too many other things I’d rather be doing).
Three things: Spouse brings home chocolate for me. I can’t throw food away. And I simply love what’s not good for me!
The “I don’t feel like going”, “I’m too tired”, “I’ve got too much to do”, “I had a rough day”, “By the time I get home it’s so late”, “What’s the use, I blew it when I ate those french fries at Wycliffe today”, and the “I just wanna go home, put my feet up and relax” blues…Can you hear the chorus of a million excuses?
My health, of all things.
I’ve been dealing with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia for years, and it is so easy to say “it’s just because of my fibromyalgia that I’m tired so I’ll just sit here and do nothing”. I have found, however, that the more I just sit and baby myself, the more tired I feel yet when I exercise regularly, I feel much better.
I also enjoy food – I mean what’s not to love about ice cream, french fries and caramel! (Not all together but maybe I should try it…)
Commitment to exercise even when it makes you swore the entire next day, commitment to choose healthy food when the fattening food tastes so good, and most importantly commitment to stick to your health routine and not make excuses.
